Examination Fees & Turnaround

The right quotation starts with the right service. Tell IDGL about the item and the question you need answered so that current fees and estimated timing can be discussed in context.

Information that helps define the quotation

Include the described material, approximate weight or dimensions, mounting status, item count, and any existing report. Explain whether you are seeking a new examination, help with an earlier report, or information for a recurring business requirement.

A request covering one loose stone may differ from a request covering several mounted stones or a specialized question. Confirm the scope rather than assuming that every examination has the same fee.

Understand what is included

Review the named report product and the work covered by the quotation. Ask whether any relevant delivery charges, taxes, optional services, or additional analysis are separate.

If you need a particular output, such as an individual report for each item, state that at the beginning. Clear requirements make the quotation easier to understand and compare with your intended use.

Plan around the current estimate

Ask when the estimated turnaround begins and which stages it covers. Delivery, acceptance, examination, further analysis, and return arrangements may be separate parts of the overall schedule.

Let IDGL know about any date that matters to you. An estimate should be confirmed for the current submission rather than taken from an earlier transaction.

When more work may be needed

An examination may reveal a question that was not apparent from the initial description. Before proceeding, clarify how additional work is authorized and how it would affect the fee or timing.

Keep the agreed scope and quotation with your submission records so you can refer to the same information if a question arises.
